Operation Analytics and Investigating Metric Spike. Case Study 1

Dataset for Case Study 1 is so small, like only 8 records. So can I work on those 8 records only? I think someone mentioned to insert more records, but can I work on those 8 records only? How can I calculate 7 days rolling mean as there are only 6 unique days in the record?
