About learning order and projects given

I am giving the whole learning library and i am learning video by video/ concept by concept which is great. what i dont understand is why is there an sql related project when i am still in the introduction stage. i have not even started excel so why directly sql related projects. should i view learning materials as per the projects given? or should i go concept by concept ? if concept by concept is the answer then it will take a long time to reach sql and my project due date will be long gone. so what should i do please suggest.
