The given SQL query retrieves the top 5 most frequently used tags in the "ig_clone" database, specifically in the "photo_tags" table. Here are the steps involved in executing the query:

SELECT: The query begins by selecting two columns for the result set: t.tag_name represents the tag name and COUNT(p.photo_id) represents the number of times a particular tag has been used. The AS keyword is used to provide an alias "num_tags" for the calculated count.
FROM: The query specifies the table ig_clone.photo_tags as the source of data for the query.
INNER JOIN: The query performs an inner join operation between the photo_tags table and the tags table in the "ig_clone" database. The join is performed by matching the "tag_id" column in the photo_tags table with the "id" column in the tags table.
ON: The join condition is specified in the ON clause, connecting the related columns from both tables.
GROUP BY: The query groups the result set by the "tag_name" column. This means that the subsequent calculations and ordering will be performed on each unique tag name.
ORDER BY: The query orders the result set based on the calculated count (num_tags) in descending order. This means that the tags with the highest count will appear at the top.
LIMIT: Finally, the query limits the result set to only include the top 5 records. The result will display the five tags that have been used the most frequently.

In summary, this query retrieves the top 5 most used tags in the "ig_clone" database by joining the "photo_tags" and "tags" tables, grouping the results by tag name, and ordering them by the count of occurrences.
