Starting a project with a large dataset can indeed be overwhelming, but with a structured approach, you can make the process more manageable. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you begin your Bank Loan case study project:

Understand the Data:
Take the time to thoroughly understand the dataset and the meaning of each column header. This will give you insights into the type of data you're working with and the context of the project.
Data Cleaning:
Identify and handle missing values: Blank spaces or empty cells in the dataset indicate missing values. Depending on the percentage of missing data for each column, you can choose to drop the columns or rows, or impute the missing values using appropriate techniques.
Handle inconsistent data: Look for inconsistent data formats or values that are not aligned with the expected data types for each column. Clean and standardize the data to ensure consistency.
Remove irrelevant columns: If some columns contain mostly empty values or are not relevant to your analysis, consider removing them from the dataset.
Treat Outliers:
Instead of applying the Quartile rule to every column, focus on columns that are critical to your analysis or have a significant impact on the loan case study. Examples may include loan amount, interest rate, or credit score. Identify potential outliers in these columns using appropriate statistical techniques (e.g., box plots, z-scores, or domain knowledge).
Investigate outliers further to determine if they are data entry errors, valid data points, or influential observations. Depending on the scenario, you can choose to remove or transform outliers or keep them if they represent important information.
Merge Previous Application Dataset:
If you have a previous application dataset that is relevant to the current project, you can merge it with the current dataset. To do this, ensure that both datasets have a common identifier (e.g., loan ID or customer ID). Use this identifier to join the datasets based on the relevant columns.
Consider the compatibility and consistency of the data across the datasets. You may need to handle missing values, data type discrepancies, or duplicate records during the merging process.
Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA):
Once the data cleaning and merging steps are complete, perform EDA to gain insights into the dataset. Explore relationships between variables, identify patterns, and visualize important trends using appropriate visualization techniques. This analysis will help you understand the data better and guide you in formulating hypotheses for further investigation.
Further Analysis and Modeling:
Based on your project objectives, formulate specific research questions or hypotheses to answer. Decide on the appropriate statistical or machine learning techniques to apply for analysis, prediction, or classification tasks.
Carry out feature engineering, such as creating new variables or transforming existing variables, to enhance the predictive power of the dataset.
Build predictive models, perform hypothesis testing, or conduct other relevant analyses to address your research questions and objectives.
Remember to document your steps, code, and analysis findings throughout the project. This will help you keep track of your progress and ensure reproducibility also this should be one of the document in your submission.

Good luck with your project! If you have any specific questions during the process, feel free to ask for assistance. In case of a generic question such as this the answer might not be satisfying but I did my best to help you out here
