On macOS (MacBook), there might be some additional configuration required to use the LOAD DATA INFILE query in MySQL Workbench due to security settings. The LOAD DATA INFILE command involves file system access, and macOS has strict security measures in place.

To resolve the issue and enable the use of LOAD DATA INFILE in MySQL Workbench on macOS, follow these steps:

Grant File Privileges: Ensure that the MySQL user you are using to connect to the server has the necessary file privileges. You can grant the FILE privilege to the user with the following SQL command:
```
GRANT FILE ON *.* TO 'your_user'@'localhost';
```
Replace 'your_user' with the actual MySQL username you are using.
Verify Secure File Privileges: Check if the MySQL server has secure file privileges enabled. Open the MySQL configuration file (my.cnf or my.ini) and look for the secure_file_priv directive. If it's set, make sure the path specified allows access to the directory where your CSV file is located. If it's not set, you can comment out or remove the line to disable secure file privileges.
Specify Absolute File Path: When using LOAD DATA INFILE, provide the absolute file path instead of a relative path. This helps avoid any issues with the working directory.
File Permissions: Ensure that the CSV file you are trying to load has the necessary read permissions for the MySQL server user.
Firewall and Antivirus: Check your macOS firewall and antivirus settings to ensure they are not blocking the file access.
App Sandbox: If you are using macOS Catalina or later, the App Sandbox might restrict access to files outside of your home directory. You can try moving the CSV file to a location within your home directory and grant permissions accordingly.

After making these adjustments, try running the LOAD DATA INFILE query again in MySQL Workbench. If everything is set up correctly, it should now work without any issues. Remember to revert any changes made to the MySQL configuration file if they are not necessary for your specific use case.
