project 6 : unable to merge the datasets

The project 6 has 2 datasets. one being applicationdata and another is previousapplication. do we have to merge the 2 datasets? I tried merging them together but seems like there is no common column data to merge them with. Both the tables have a few columns with same name but none of the data matches with each other. what should I do?
